In addition, NIMRA provides resources to Clubs organising races throughout the year, including among other items race safety pack, including radios, survival bags and first aid equipment.

NIMRA organises and supports National and International Mountain Running Teams as well as supporting the ongoing development of junior mountain running athletes.
NIMRA is affiliated to Athletics Northern Ireland and all NIMRA races are run under the rules of our association, available on the NIMRA website: https://www.nimra.org.uk.
Athletes who wish to qualify for the NIMRA championship are to register for NIMRA member for the year before the first race of the calendar takes place (Note: any races completed before registering as a NIMRA member are not to be counted on the league table). Athletes must complete 7 races from the possible 15 races on the championship ca
Athletes who wish to qualify for the NIMRA championship are to register for NIMRA member for the year before the first race of the calendar takes place (Note: any races completed before registering as a NIMRA member are not to be counted on the league table). Athletes must complete 7 races from the possible 15 races on the championship calendar, to include at least 1 short category, 1 medium category, 1 long category and a further four of their choice.
Typically, the 15 championship races calendar is split into 4 short category races, 4 medium category races, and 4 long category races, usually beginning in March and ending in September. An award ceremony is held in early winter each year, normally in conjunction with the Run4Rescue event where the Male/ Open and Female champions for the year are announced, along with the age category winners.
